On May 19, the General Accident Fire & Life Assurance Corporation incorporates Assecura Versicherungsholding SA in Luxembourg.
The Norwich Union Fire and Life Insurance Societies has now established operations in Luxembourg. Aviva Funds is established in Luxembourg under the name Privilege Portfolio Ltd.
Commercial Union acquires Compagnie Financiere du Groupe Victoire. Among its subsidiaries is Vicare, a reinsurance business based in Luxembourg.
Commercial Union has transferred its operations in Luxembourg to Delta Lloyd. Delta Lloyd acquires Bank Naglemackers, including its branch in Luxembourg.
In January 2013 Aviva sells its remaining shareholding in Delta Lloyd for £353 million.
